Stephanie Anderson, who is retiring at the end of the current school year, has been named Arkansas Middle Level Principal of the Year by the Arkansas Administrators Education Association.
Anderson is completing her sixth year as principal at Helen Tyson Middle School. Prior to that she was Tyson Middle School assistant principal for nine years. In 2010 she was named Arkansas Middle Level Assistant Principal of the Year.
“It’s an honor because there are so many amazing, excellent administrators in Arkansas,” said Anderson. “This is a reflection of the work of our staff and students and how they have been able to shine and show the great things they are capable of doing.”
Springdale Superintendent Dr. Jared Cleveland added, “Mrs. Anderson is an outstanding principal and longtime administrator in our district. We are overjoyed she is being recognized as the Arkansas Middle Level Principal of the Year. She is so deserving of the recognition and this incredible honor.
“Although we will miss her as part of our administrative team next year, due to her retirement, she will forever be a part of our Springdale family! We congratulate Mrs. Anderson for her award and wish her great health and happiness in retirement.”
