Student Services - Mental Wellness Support
- Students identified by tiers of need, risk, and support

Grading
For grades 9-12 and middle school students taking high school credit courses, students will be assigned grades A, B, C, D, or Incomplete based on the following:
- Student work completed during the closure via distance learning can only improve a student's semester grade moving forward from March 13.
- Students and teachers will make a good faith effort to engage with distance learning opportunities in any way possible (online, packets, phone, etc.).
- Incompletes will be assigned only if a student is missing evidence of attempting key standards of the course.
Seniors
- Staff is working closely with Seniors to ensure maintain "on track" status and a "good faith effort" toward meeting credit and graduation pathway requirements.
- HSBP- Mentors working with their Seniors to complete.
- Competency Credit- Provide opportunities for seniors to show evidence of course competency through assessment and/or portfolio.
- Credit Waiver- Provided senior was "on track" and made a "good faith effort" to maintain engagement, Principal has the authority to waive both Core and Elective credits for the class of 2020. Must be made on an individual case-by-case basis.
High School

Student Services- Student Groups
- ELL Building Coordinators are working with general education teachers to provide the necessary support to access distance learning curriculum.
- Students receiving continued specific language development instruction based on their current level of proficiency.
- Each building has staff designated to connect with students and families to include students experiencing homelessness and in foster care.
- Building Counselors are monitoring student needs and supports to facilitate student engagement.
- Mental Wellness team provides support through family and individual counseling
- Each building has staff designated to connect with students and families to include military-connected students.
- Medical Lake Military Family Advocate works directly with parents and FAFB staff to support students and reduce barriers for engagement.
- Highly Capable plans continue through distance learning.
- General education staff and Highly Capable Coordinators are providing additional learning opportunities based on individual student needs and plans.
