AVA Family Update
December 1, 2023
Good morning AVA Students and Families,
I have next week's schedule, our guidance updates, and community notices linked below as usual.
We have completed our first Trimester. Teachers are closing out grades and we will publish report cards in Aspen next Wednesday. If you have any questions about grades or anything else, please reach out.
Students should check Aspen to ensure they are aware of any new classes they might be taking in Trimester 2, and they will notice that new classes have been added to Edgenuity as well. Once teachers have a chance to close out their grades for single trimester courses, I will archive them in Edgenuity to avoid any confusion.
Thank you for your time.

This is a kind reminder that all AVA students grades 9-12 have access to the online College and Career search tool Naviance. Seniors who plan to attend college someday: it is strongly recommended to use Naviance to start browsing for post-secondary schools now and save a list in Naviance; your data will be saved, even after you graduate. Email Ms Nellie (below) anytime if you forget your password. Below are login instructions and recommended Naviance activities based on grade level.

For AVA seniors and families thinking of applying to colleges and financial aid, HERE is a great resource prepared by Roger Williams University with FAQs and info about upcoming changes to the FAFSA application. The new FAFSA will be new to everyone, so we will all learn together!
