Special Person's Day
On Friday March 17, 2023, Hometown students invited a special person to attend school with them. Grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles participated in gym activities, went to encores, played math games and more. Families were able to get a glimpse into the day and a life of a Hometown Hornet. Students in art made heart art while second graders played the math game double it up! In gym, parents played speed stackers and took a step back in time and tried their hands at jump rope. It sure is fun to pretend to be a kid again. It was also a special day celebrating St. Patrick's Day with our special friends. Students in first grade read a St. Patrick's Day Scholastic News and did some Pot of Gold subtraction. Click here for more photos of the fun day! https://twitter.com/D123Hometown

Just a reminder there is no school on April 4th for elections.
Fifth Grade Testing
Our fifth grade students will begin the Illinois Science Assessment this week. We have one more test to go. I am so proud of how hard our students are working on the questions. The final test will be on Thursday. We ask that the students get extra rest, have a good breakfast, and have charged chromebooks.
