This Week at Royal
January 4 - 10
Greetings, Falcons!
I hope that your holidays were restful, healthy, and happy. We are excited to welcome our Falcon learners back to Royal on Wednesday, January 6. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in continuing to adhere to our health and safety protocols to maximize the safest learning environment for our students and staff on campus, especially wearing face masks, social distancing, and frequent hand sanitizing and washing.
As you prepare your students to return to school, please continue to monitor your family for COVID-19 symptoms. We would like to share a few reminders with you.
- If you travelled outside our area, please adhere to the “After You Travel” section in the following resources:
- Domestic Travel
- If you or your students have been in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19, or if someone within your home has tested positive, please contact your child’s campus to schedule a drive-thru test PRIOR TO sending your Falcon learners back to campus. IMPORTANT NOTE: Only face-to-face students and Royal employees are eligible to obtain a COVID-19 test from Royal. For guidance on when to quarantine or self-isolate, please refer to the CDC guidelines.
- Daily Health Self-Screening - Parents must screen students daily, and employees must self-screen (prior to entering a school bus or school) for the following signs and symptoms of COVID-19:
- Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.00 F
- Loss of taste or smell
- Cough
- Difficulty breathing
- Shortness of breath
- Fatigue
- Headache

- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Shaking or exaggerated shivering

This is an unprecedented time to be in education, full of new opportunities and learning for all of us. Royal ISD will continue to rise to this most unusual occasion to provide the best possible learning opportunities for our students.
