Announcements & Updates
New Drop Off Procedure & Car line Placards
- Thank you for your continued feedback and input in regard to creating an efficient and safe drop-off for our students. After meeting with the parent council and hearing multiple perspectives, we will be changing the current drop off.
- ALL students will be dropped off in the back patio and will enter the building at 8:15am. Students will no longer line-up outside and instead be supervised inside by their classrooms.
- Parents are encouraged to utilize the car-line as much as possible,
- We are in the process of printing and laminating placards from Pick-Up Patrol to be hung from rear-view mirrors in your car. Each placard has the student last name and teacher on it to identify the car.
- I will provide an update when these will be sent home.
Parent Volunteer Training
- Reminder that there are two sessions for volunteer training on Tuesday, 9/26
- Morning session will be at 9:30 in the cafeteria and the evening sessions will be at 5:30 in the media center. Each session will last about a half hour.
Bathroom Issues
- There have some recent occurrences where students are clogging the bathroom sinks with paper towel, emptying the soap dispensers on the floor to make it slippery and dangerous, and throwing wet paper towels on the wall and ceiling. Mr. Sam and the custodial crew work extremely hard to keep the school clean and safe.
- I have addressed this with the students and told them this behavior is unacceptable and any student that is involved will face consequences. Please remind your children of appropriate behavior at school while using the restrooms. I appreciate your support.

Directory
- In partnership with the Mendham Borough School District, the Mendham Borough HSA is enhancing its practices in handling the information of our students and families. In doing so, we will now be moving forward with best practices of school districts across the nation.
A few important points:
- The directory will only reflect the information of families who have logged in, updated their profiles, and opted in. This will allow for sharing of only the information you wish to share, along with a blanket of permission and security. You can update your information here: https://mendhamhsa.membershiptoolkit.com/
- Parents will need to give their permission through their individual profile to continue receiving the HSA weekly newsletter, provide media releases to the HSA, and receive periodic SMS messaging.
- The HSA database will be closed to anyone outside of the Mendham Borough School District unless approved by the HSA Board (this includes grandparents, community members, etc).
- The HSA has never supplied class lists to parents, and this will not be part of our offerings moving forward. All information (for families who have opted in) will be found in the Student Directory
We appreciate your patience as we prioritize the safety and security of personal information within our school district. Please direct any questions to our inbox at: MendhamBoroughHSA@gmail.com
