- Major earthwork will be occurring this summer and neighbors may experience dust, equipment noise, and vibrations at various times.
- The contractor will utilize best management practices to limit disruption and inconvenience and comply with the City of Bremerton’s noise ordinance.
Thank you for your patience, Mountain View Middle School neighbors, students, staff and families!
Balanced Calendar Survey
The Bremerton School District has begun taking the initial steps to explore the possibility of a “balanced calendar.” Last week, you should have received an email from the Bremerton School District inviting you to complete a brief survey.
Your input is very important. If you have not taken the survey, we hope you will take a few moments to do so. The survey will be open through midnight on Wednesday, May 24.
Thank you!
Working together to create "Our Beloved Community"
Bremerton School District's Restorative Program is endeavoring to create Our Beloved Community. Our Beloved Community is a learning environment where all of our scholars feel cared for. A place absent of violence, bigotry, and hate.
We believe that humans are holistic beings, and we must increase our awareness of our whole selves, in order to grow. If we are going to create a healthier, happier school climate, if we are going to close the achievement gap, if we are going to create competitive workers and forward thinking citizens, we are going to have to all work together, and strive to create our own "beloved community."
With care and compassion driving us, partnered with the use of restorative practices, we will transform our schools.
We at Bremerton School District believe that if school officials, students, parents, and community all work together in a collaborative and inclusive manner, that we can and will accomplish this.
You are invited
You are cordially invited to observe the Beloved Community Listening Circle on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 5:30 to 7:30 pm via Zoom Webinar.
You will be observing students, parents, teachers, administration, community members and organizations sharing their hopes and expectations for Bremerton Schools and our Beloved Community. We are using the restorative circle process where every voice within the circle will be heard. Community members online will have an opportunity to post questions in the Q & A during the webinar.
Over the course of the next year, we will be holding monthly listening circles where all will have the opportunity to participate in-person and share their voice.
Please join us on this endeavor as we work together to transform our schools using restorative practices, inclusivity, love and shared humanity.
Monday, June 12, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Thank you to all who participated in "be Bremerton" 2023
Approximately 200 BSD students, staff, families and community members participated in be Bremerton last Saturday making this one of our biggest be Bremerton events ever!
be Bremerton: A Day of Service is a districtwide service event to show the Bremerton community and the City of Bremerton our thanks for their tremendous support of the Bremerton School District and our students.
Volunteers gathered at Evergreen Rotary Park on the morning of May 13 to pick up free event t-shirts and gather supplies before heading downtown to pick up trash, pull weeds and sweep sidewalks in preparation for last weekend's Armed Forces Day festival and parade! Afterward, lunch was provided for all be Bremerton volunteers by Seaside Church!
We invite you to watch the event slideshow, and view all event photos here. If you attended the event and have photos to share, please email them to

Coming soon: Pandemic EBT funds
This summer, you will receive additional Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) funds for student enrolled in the Bremerton School District (excluding West Sound Technical Skills Center) for the 2022-23 school year.
These cards will have $120 on them and are federally funded. All BSD families will receive them regardless of income based on BSD being part of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which allows BSD to offer free breakfast and lunch to all enrolled students.
Visit Washington State Department of Social and Health Services for more information about this program.
If your family has received a P-EBT card in the past, you will receive a letter and existing P-EBT cards will be re-loaded with funds. If you do not have your P-EBT cards anymore, you can call the P-EBT Contact Center at 1-833-518-0282.
Families who have never received a P-EBT card will receive a letter and card(s) in the mail. The letters will also include information for families who wish to decline P-EBT benefits. Funds cannot be gifted or donated.
If you have changed addresses this school year, please make sure your current address is updated with your students’ school building.
We do not have information about when funds will be added to the P-EBT cards and recommend signing up for text message alerts to receive P-EBT updates. Sign up here: https://www.textpebt.dshs.wa.gov/
