Our Year 8 students made the most of the marketplace opportunity, they talked to their teachers and asked lots of great questions to help them with their GCSE option choices.

Students from Morningside Primary School visited this term to create their own owl key rings in the Design and Technology Department. It was a great session where they learnt how to use tools and equipment.

Our Year 9 3D Design class had a fantastic trip to 'Are You Mad' where they learnt about the circular economy and turning trash into treasure!

We are very excited to have Jamaican international weightlifter and former Cardinal Pole student Omarie Mears working with our students.

He will be teaching them weightlifting fundamentals in our new "Introduction to Weightlifting" extracurricular activity.

Our Year 12 and 13 A-level students went to see 'Othello', their A-Level set text, at the National Theatre!

Our Girls U16 Basketball team finished unbeaten in their Dynamik National Cup Group stage. They confirmed their place in the next round with a 46-24 victory against the City of London Academy, Shoreditch Park!

Holocaust Memorial Day was on the 27th January and the theme was ‘Ordinary People’.

Ordinary people were involved in all aspects of the Holocaust, they were perpetrators, bystanders, rescuers, witnesses and ordinary people were victims. Students learnt about Marcel Hoffman, an ordinary person who did not turn a blind eye to the persecution of the Jews.

Our Year 12 Psychology students did their Psychopathy (the scientific exploration of abnormal mental states) presentations in class. They did an amazing job, their presentations were well-researched!

World Religion Day was on the 15th January, we celebrated and learnt about the similarities and differences between different religions.

It is an important event as it promotes peaceful coexistence, understanding and respect between different religious groups.

Maths Clinic is a great place to complete your homework or receive extra help on any Maths topic. It is on every Monday after school. Gianny was mastering expanding and simplifying triple brackets.

Student voice and wellbeing is really important to everyone at Cardinal Pole. The Student Council meet regularly to discuss and lead change throughout the school. This week we spoke about school rewards and created a student survey to find out how students across the school feel.

Well done to our fantastic Year 7s who contributed to a Literacy Pirates book of short stories. Our budding authors wrote about a dull day that had a magical twist.
