Vaccines will be available from 5 - 7 pm.
Any child between the age of 12-17 receiving the COVID-19 must have proof of their age and a parent/guardian present.
Please contact Shonda Moore at smoore1@csdecatur.net with any questions.
Job(s) Well Done
Our students have done a phenomenal job following all of the mitigation strategies and protocols during the first two weeks of school. Please continue to review the mitigation measures with your child(ren) and let them know how proud we are of them. Keep up the great work students!
Our Operations Team, which includes Facilities and Maintenance, Security, Transportation, Custodians, and Nutrition, has done a tremendous job preparing our facilities, supporting building leaders, keeping our facilities clean, and transporting and feeding students. This amazing team has just earned another significant achievement. Through their hard work, all CSD facilities have earned the WELL Health-Safety Rating Seal! This is a huge accomplishment. Congratulations Operations Team!
COVID Surveillance Testing
We are excited to participate in the Georgia Epidemiology Laboratory Capacity (ELC) Reopening Schools Program to offer weekly COVID-19 surveillance testing to staff and students. The program is offered through a partnership between the Georgia Department of Public Health and the CDC. The CDC provides funding to offset costs associated with the testing program and is a part of the American Rescue Plan. We are working with our partners to launch this project as soon as possible, and we will share more details as soon as they are available. The ELC Reopening Schools Program will be another key strategy in our mitigation plan, and we look forward to offering this to the CSD community.

RMS Needs Volunteers!
RMS needs volunteers for their 8th-grade activism seminar series. Come lead engaging virtual seminars during our interdisciplinary unit for ELA and I&S on activism.
Information from RMS:
We envision the seminar with students to be similar to a miniature TED conference (only virtually), a conference dedicated to “ideas worth spreading.” on activism. We are looking for engaging, dynamic speakers who can share information about activism or related careers that will inspire our students to stand up for the change they wish to see in the world! Our goal for students is to learn about activism and be excited about it and become actively engaged in issues they care about.
We are looking for presenters during various hours every Wed from August 18th through Sept 8th. If you (or someone you know) are interested in sharing a presentation about your career or experience in activism, we would like to invite you to share your expertise with our 8th-grade students and encourage you to sign up with the form below:

Students will participate during their ELA or I&S classes on Wednesdays throughout the duration of this exciting unit and you will have teacher support!
