73049: Where Leaders are Built
Habit 3: Put First Things First
Dear Parents,
It's hard to believe that we are almost to our winter break! We have been working diligently at JES to become better leaders. In November, we have been working on Habit 3: Putting First Things First - Work first, then play. This habit requires strong discipline and focus. We must prioritize and determine what's most important remembering all the time that as leaders it is important to build our integrity to reflect our leadership. We are spending the month of December in review of the first three habits. We hope that everyone enjoys the holiday season and gets some well deserved rest while remembering to put First thing First!
Habit of the Month
Put First Things First
Habit 3 inspires us to prioritize!
Focus on priorities - pay attention to what needs to be done first, second, third, . . . ?
Making a list can help us think about the important things we need to spend our time on.
Creating a schedule helps us to make sure we remember to do our important tasks.
Make sure to schedule time for the things that are most important, we call those Big Rocks.
Big Rocks are the things that are important to us but if we don’t schedule them we may get so busy with other things that we can’t fit them in our day.
