Don't forget! Wednesday, November 23rd is an Early Dismissal Day at Long Valley Middle


School. Students will be dismissed for the long weekend at 1:35 PM.


All Washington Township Schools will be closed on Thursday and Friday (11/24 - 11/25) for Thanksgiving.


We hope that everyone has a GREAT Thanksgiving and can spend some time relaxing with family, friends, and other loved ones.

Reminders

STUDENT DRINKS: As a reminder, students are ONLY permitted to have refillable water bottles in the classrooms. Energy Drinks (Monster, Red Bull, etc.), Coffee, Hot Chocolate, and other Specialty Drinks are not permitted in the building during the school day.


PET THERAPY VIST AT LVMS: Our first Animal Therapy visitation will be on Weds. Nov. 23rd during select Wellness Cycle Classes. Thank you to the Long Valley Junior Women's for sponsoring this great opportunity. More Information Below!

Spirit Day Announcement!

COLLEGE DAY!

Wednesday 11/23

Join your teachers and wear College apparel or your favorite College colors to school!

Sponsored by the Long Valley Junior Women's Club, LVMS students will have the opportunity to participate in Animal Therapy Visits. Organized through the company Creature Comforts, students will have an option to experience Pet Therapy through some of our Wellness Cycle classes throughout the remainder of the school year. Students will be able to sign up (if they choose) to participate in this program to have the opportunity of visiting with certified professionals and therapy animals to experience Pet Therapy and the many benefits it provides.


Due to accommodating small groups for each visit, visits will only be attended by certain classes each time. By the end of the year, all students will be provided with this opportunity through their Wellness Classes.

Native American Heritage Month

November is National American Indian Heritage Month!

The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum join in paying tribute to the rich ancestry and traditions of Native Americans. What started at the turn of the century as an effort to gain a day of recognition for the significant contributions the first Americans made to the establishment and growth of the U.S., has resulted in a whole month being designated for that purpose.


Please stop by the LVMS Library to visit Mrs. Taylor-Flynn and get some great text recommendations for Native American Heritage Month.

The Spirit Wear Online Store is now open through 11/15 so you can stock up on LVMS gear for those holiday gifts. Deliveries in-school the week of 12/19


Holiday Shop, 12/12-12/15 - Save the Date

The PTA’s annual Winter Wonderland Holiday Shop is coming 12/12-12/15. Students can shop for holiday gifts during school hours that week. Volunteers will be needed, so please look for our signup genius in the coming weeks.
