The World of Westwood Wolves

We had a fun week at Westwood! Mr. Stewart created a virtual concert for Veteran's Day- each grade level got to perform a patriotic tune- here's the link if you'd like to check it out! Mr. Lassiter visited and talked to 5th graders about what it was like to serve in the military; he even brought some MREs for students to try (I had to ask what the beef stew was). We also had a visit from our school board and district office staff for the annual school board lunch. Our students were excellent and showed off what they have been learning.

In case you missed the good news we announced earlier in the week, Westwood is proud to have received recognition for being in the top 5% of all elementary schools in the state for how much our 3rd-5th graders grew on the ACT Aspire last year. We are so proud of our staff and students!

Running Club- Mondays and Wednesdays until 3:30

Choir- Tuesdays until 3:45

Ukelele Club- Thursdays until 3:30

We are opening the doors at 7:20 this year- this means no students should be on the front porch before 7:20. There is no adult supervision before 7:20.
