Students who are fully registered for the 2023-2024 school year by Wednesday, May 24th will receive a coupon for an ice cream treat!

2023/2024 Student Registration

With the school year winding down, it's time to plan for next year! If you have not yet registered your student for 2023-2024, now is the time to lock in your spot and ensure a teacher and class schedule for fall. Online registration can be accessed through the "Registration" header of the district website, www.burnetcisd.net. Campus and district office staff are available to answer questions or assist you with registration steps. Without pre-registering, your child cannot have a teacher assigned or a schedule finalized, and cannot participate in school extracurriculars preparing for 2023-2024 during the summer. Please help us return in August read to roll a fantastic new year!

Summer Support Lessons!

As the end of the school year approaches quickly, Heggerty is excited to offer summer support lessons to you.

Summer support is for teachers, tutors, parents/guardians, and, most important of all, children. The six weeks of phonemic awareness lessons included will reinforce students' knowledge of the previous school year while preparing them for the next step in their reading journey.

Included with these lessons are:

Daily lesson videos—so any child, anywhere, can receive quality instruction from a literacy specialist
Parent newsletters—these newsletters can help parents continue the learning at home
A brand new recorded webinar—to support educators and families in making the most of these lessons this summer

This is a reminder to get those library books back to campus! Mrs. Tyler loves her library books and wants them returned so that they can be shared with more students for years to come! See the breakdown below for missing books:

Check Out Earlies

As the end of the year approaches, there will be many special end-of-year events on the calendar. We kindly request that students remain at school for the full day rather than being checked-out early. When students leave early, they miss instructional time and other activities planned. In addition, when waves of parents come to the office to check-out, meeting campus needs (answering phone calls and radio calls, handling transportation requests, manning the front door, locating classes and calling for students) becomes especially challenging. Please keep that in mind if checking your student out cannot be avoided. Patience is appreciated! Thank you for your support and understanding!

Average Daily Attendance for SGE

ADA stands for Average Daily Attendance. Average Daily Attendance is defined as the total days of student attendance divided by the total days of instruction. Check out SGE's ADA trends in the chart above.

We're going to "STRIVE FOR 95!" while also knowing that "98 IS Great!" We recognize that illnesses and events take place that necesitate absences, however, we do encourage every student to be in school every day he/she is able. Let's work for 98%!
