Plano Middle School Weekly Update

Here is a weekly update providing some general information for the activities surrounding Plano Middle School. If you or your student needs assistance or questions answered, do not hesitate to reach out to us! There is an easy way to get in contact with our Student Services Department from Schoology that will be linked at the end of this newsletter, along with other helpful links and tips!

Remote Learning schedule for ALL students Dec. 1 - Jan 19 here

Please have a look at the Remote Learning Schedule that will be in effect for Dec. 1st - Jan. 19th.

Attendance will be taken for all periods of the day. Students be sure to be attending your Zoom classes Tuesday through Friday. Parents not able to be home but wanting updates on if your student is logging in and attending Zoom classes? you can sign-up to receive Attendance Email Notifications through your PowerSchool Account

1. Parents: Log into PowerSchool using your login/password.

2. Click on "Email Notification". That will take you here:

3. Click to check the boxes for the attendance notifications you want to receive.

4. Select the frequency as well as any email addresses (beyond what is in PowerSchool) that you want notifications to go to.

5. Click on "Submit" at the bottom right corner of the page to save your choices.

6. You will now receive notifications for attendance.

Also, our district is is providing FREE breakfast and lunch to ALL CHILDREN in the community 18 and under. Elementary children will receive FREE meals when they are in-person in the schools, regardless of their eligibility for free, reduced, or full pay. All families are also eligible to pick up meals on Mondays and Thursdays between the hours of 8:30am -9:30am, 11:30am-12:30pm and 5pm-6pm, for all children in their household 18 and under!

ALL ART STUDENTS

All artwork will need to be done and turned in by December 11th.

Due to the last week of instruction holding a Virtual Art Show, held by Mrs. Young

Art - Week of December 14th

Art supplies need to be returned for sanitization.
(Rulers, Sharpies, Watercolor Pencils and Brushes)

You may keep: leftover paper, pencils, erasers and regular colored pencils

Supplies may be dropped off on the inside the main entrance to Plano MS

Tyrone is heading to the warm welcoming face of Mrs. Winter, and her virtual Science world! She will be exploring force, motion, and acceleration with him and our students! You may not see her as often as you like, but she asked Tyrone to tell all: "May 'the force' be with you all during this holiday week! Stay safe!"
