Picture make-ups are now definitively scheduled for November 8.

In Mrs. Kornuszko's 6B English Language Arts classroom, students have been working toward writing a personal narrative and learning related vocabulary. To practice the terms 'incident' and 'sequencing', students created comic strips based on a humorous event in their lives. They submitted a range of comics -- all of which are equally amusing. Enjoy this brief gallery walk!

Last year we had some AMAZING pumpkins - the theme this year is movie characters....can't wait to see how creative our students get with their pumpkins!

Beginning the week of November 6, Log College students will begin reading Refugee with their social studies classes. Refugee, written by Alan Gratz, is a captivating story that intertwines the lives of three young refugees from different periods of history.

*If you've never read the book, I highly recommend purchasing a copy. It can be found on Amazon for about $10.

Just a reminder that Fall sports have begun. Well-behaved students are permitted to stay and watch home games but must take the late bus at 4:15 or have their own ride home following the game/match. You can find our current Fall schedule here.

Each sport ends its season with a matchup vs. Klinger Middle School. In most cases, we are able to schedule the game/match at William Tennent High School. In those instances, it is mandatory that a parent/guardian attend with a student. The audience for these games are limited to Log College and Klinger students and their families. This past week, field hockey (0-0 Tie) and soccer (3-1 Victory) faced Klinger at William Tennent HS (Volleyball and football next week). Students who attend are expected to exhibit proper behavior at the games and watch the games from the stands. Students who attend for other reasons, like playing on the sidelines will be reminded to sit with the adults who drove them or will be asked to leave.

For the upcoming football game, tickets will be sold, and we will request the name of the parent/guardian accompanying the student. Click here for information about the event.

Here's a message from Mr. McManus, Log's Football Coach:

Log College once again fielded a successful team in the always competitive Suburban One Athletic Conference. This year’s team features a tough defense along with a strong running and passing game. Our athletes started training for a challenging season on the second day of school this year, practicing on a daily basis with conditioning and learning plays. Log College played some very robust teams this season, and all of our players got to start in at least two games. In addition to our Varsity games, Log College also schedules several Junior Varsity games to get players additional experience and help develop a love of the game. Our season concludes this Thursday evening with our annual Log/Klinger contest: The Panther Bowl. Please come out and cheer on the 2023 Log football team!

On Friday, October 20 the 7th & 8th grade from Log College and Klinger joined with the William Tennent Marching Band in the stands for the high school football game. This was a great opportunity for the middle school musicians to experience playing and cheering at a high school football game. Students spent some time after school to rehearse with and get to know the members of the marching band.

Congratulations go out to our latest round of 200 Club Winners! This round's winners include Zaakriah B., Abigail B., Gleb K., Christopher G., Heidi G., Miguel E., Mahli H., Aiden H., Nathan K., Kevin A., Sarah B., and Kasandra Z. Keep up the great work, and remember to Live Safely, Own Responsibility, and Give Respect!

Girls Unlimited returns to Log again this November. From November 6th to the 17th, your 7th-grade female student will be participating in Girls Unlimited, a program of The Peace Center, that is designed to address the concerns facing middle school girls during these turbulent times. These sessions will take place during Health/PE classes.
