IUSD Virtual Academy PTA is proud to host our first annual Move-A-Thon! This is our Spring fundraiser that encourages students to be active. Our goal is $6,000. Students will participate in Move-A-Thon during PE class. We encourage our families to participate in Move-A-Thon at home with a family activity like walking, biking, hiking, or anything that gets the family moving and grooving. We could not engage in the wonderful learning opportunities and the fun things we do here without your monetary support. Please know that no amount is too small. Your ongoing backing and support are both truly appreciated.

To add your child as a participant, please follow these 3 easy steps:

1. Go to this link - www.99pledges.com/fund/2022ivaptamoveathon/addme
2. Enter your child’s name, enter your email(s), and select the teacher your child belongs to.
3. Click “Add” > this will take you to your newly created pledge page.

Prizes:

1. Register your student through 99Pledges.com and receive a one-of-a-kind IVA color changing pencil.

2. Raise $50 or more and receive an IVA exclusive spinning medallion.

3. Classroom Rewards

1st Place: The top class wins a water balloon face-off with Principal Linville and Assistant Principal Warren!

2nd Place: The class wins a free lunch from Chick-Fil-A.

3rd Place: The class wins free ice-cream from Handels MarketPlace.

*All students will receive a Move-A-Thon drawstring backpack.

We are inviting all our Dragon students to enter their drawings in our Yearbook Cover Contest! 1 winner will be selected to be featured on our front cover. The next top 4 entries will be featured on the back cover. All other entries will decorate the inside pages of the yearbook. This is your chance to help us make your yearbook special!

IUSD Virtual Academy PTA is proud to sponsor a Virtual Science Program! Join us for a fun filled evening while learning about science with David Hagerman, the Science Wizard. Come see some super cool science equipment, learn about energy, and much more! A Zoom link will be emailed on the week of the assembly. Earlier this year, IUSD Virtual Academy PTA applied for School of Excellence for our school. Digital Safety is our focus area for this program. For the month of February, we featured Digital Safety Guides in our Newsletter and Website. We compiled the Parent's Guides on our website and they may be accessed by clicking here.

Show your School Spirit each Friday by wearing your Spiritwear or school colors! We can't wait to see your Dragon Pride! If you'd like to share, please email us a picture at: info@ivapta.org. We'd love to see your school spirit!

We are still seeking Room Parents in some classrooms. Room Parents are essential to facilitate communication between the PTA, teacher, and families. Responsibilities include communication with the PTA and emailing PTA information/updates to your teacher and classroom parents. We will provide a quick training/tutorial. You are a key to our success!

Help our school earn dollars! The Market Place is a great place to shop for your everyday needs or for that little something special. Shop and log your receipts to earn money for IUSD Virtual Academy PTA! Earn & Learn runs from September 1 through April 30. Plus, the school with the most dollars logged each month will earn a $250 bonus. Limit one bonus prize per school. Submit your receipts to help us earn $250 to $3,000 for our PTA.
