ISU Posters
Good morning Educators:
I’ve had several inquiries regarding providing a photo of the ISU posters that are available. I have attached the photo for your reference. These are 22” x 22” and as you can see these are perfect for hanging, framing, book covers, art projects, gift wrap, gift bags, etc.
I can drop off larger quantities. If you are interested please let me know. Please forward to potentially interested parties.

Accessible Chef Link - Learning Tool
Thanks to Mrs. O'Connor for sharing with us!
I thought I would share this link (https://accessiblechef.com/recipe-creator/) with you that allows you to make recipes for students that have trouble reading. It is completely free, and below is an example I am going to try out with students on Friday in Food's class.
Blank Park Zoo 2020 Programs
Please find an attached flier with information on all of the programs that Blank Park Zoo offers for schools. Consider forwarding this along to any principles in your district to disseminate to their teachers and staff. We would love to be your go-to resource for any animal, environment, conservation or zoo related programs!
Thank you,

Trees for Kids Grant
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is now accepting applications for the Trees for Kids grants. This grant program awards up to $2,500 to schools, community groups, and other organizations for the purchase of trees and mulch to be planted on public property. The project must incorporate youth in some way, most commonly through tree planting. More information is provided in the application, which is attached. Completed applications need to be sent to me by Friday, March 6.
In addition, through a grant from the USDA Forest Service, the Iowa DNR is offering up to 200 free seedlings to communities, counties, schools, and residents. These seedlings are grown at the DNR nursery in Ames. The seedlings can be planted on public property, distributed at a community event, given to students at school to take home, or shared in other ways. The application for free seedlings is also attached. Applicants must reside in a county identified as being eligible on the list/map in the application.
Please let me know if you have questions about either of these programs.
Thank you,
Gabbi
