Explanation of the Schedule for Lunch with Moms or Loved Ones
On May 11th - 1st, 3rd, and 5th will be eating in the classrooms and on May 12th, kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th grades will be eating in the classrooms. Our classrooms do not have space to host guests, but we would love to have you on any other date if this schedule does not work for your family.
SENIOR WALK
The Seniors will walk through the hallways to be celebrated by Walker teachers and students. Our current students will be thrilled to see you walking in your cap and gown. Celebration music will be playing and, of course, high-5s are expected! After your celebration walk, we will have a short assembly followed by a reception in your honor with your former teachers.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION 2023-2024
Kindergarten enrollment starts March 1st! If your child attends our Pre-K program, you will not register online but you will be given other instructions from the teacher. If you have questions, please call Walker Elementary at (479)750-8874.
Did you know your child has access to our on-line library from home?
The Lightbox Learning Classroom Solutions are web-based products that have everything you need to help your child discover the joy of learning. Each digital title comes packed with unique, fully integrated multimedia features, including embedded videos, slideshows, and curated weblinks. High-quality audio narration helps students improve literacy. Please help your child read books on devices at home. Time spent reading will help your child learn to read and to read to learn!

Parent's Guide to Test Prep
Simple things that can help students do their best include:
- Getting good sleep (and rest)
- Eating healthy breakfasts (since testing is usually done first thing on testing days)
- Giving encouragement (without increasing pressure some students may already feel)
- Making sure students arrive to school on time
- Write an encouraging note to your child and send to school in a sealed envelope for them to open on the first day of testing
In-School Counseling Services
Arisa Health / Ozark Guidance Counseling (OGC) has partnered with us to provide school counseling services for students and families. If you would like to get your child into these services you can either call our school counselor, Mrs. Erin Waterman or call the service provider directly and ask to schedule an intake appointment. If you call directly, remember to say that your child attends Walker Elementary in Springdale. OGC (479) 750-2020
