Our Family Science Night on December 15 was fantastic! A huge thank you to our amazing team of volunteers who helped run the event and man the stations: Keith Black, Andrea Ingold, Robert Mendez, Laurie Nack, Leland Treebs, Japhet Cantos, Nichole Bautists-Figueroa, Rebecca Buchko, Chris Collins, Emanuel Carreno

Thank you to all of you parents who support our PTA which funded this great event!

Our PTA board has found ways to condense down the "business" aspect of our PTA meetings so that we can spend more time discussing upcoming events and activities. Please join us this Thursday morning to hear about some exciting things on the horizon here at Bernardo!

Bring out the family for our PTA-sponsored movie night this Friday, December 1 from 5:00-7:00 as we watch Super Mario Brothers. Our plan is to spread out on the front grass. If it rains, we'll be moving into the MPR so rain or shine, plan on joining us!

Our 2nd graders put on an amazing show of "Turkeys Go On Strike" just before Thanksgiving Break. The students performed marvelously and it was awesome to have so many parents come out to watch. A big thank you to the 2nd grade teachers for all of their work to put the show together and help the students learn their lines and the songs.

When using our parking lot for drop-off or pick-up, please be sure to pull all of the way forward. This helps ensure that cars behind you can also pull in which speeds up the process for everyone. I know we want to drop off our kids as close to their entrance gate as possible but the extra steps can be a great way to get their blood moving to start the day! 😁

In November, our 3rd grade students had an opportunity to play in the annual Bernardo 3rd Grade Cornhole Tournament. After many recess and lunch matches, the "Slippery Flies" team was victorious and moved on to battle Mrs. Woods and Mr. Lyche on November 17. In front of all their 3rd grade classmates, the Slippery Flies narrowly defeated the adults with the crowd going wild! Congrats, Cooper & Brooks!
