THE 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR WILL LAUNCH OUR TRANSITION AT SCHURZ ELEMENTARY TO A COMPLETELY DESIGNATED DUAL LANGUAGE SCHOOL! BOTH OF OUR KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOMS, AS WELL AS OUR FULL DAY 4K CLASSROOM,

WILL BE DUAL LANGUAGE.

We are looking forward to the great opportunity to teach our

4K and Kindergarten students in both English AND Spanish!

Again, in 2022-2023, this plan will ONLY be for students in grades 4K and K. Students in grades 1-5 will continue with their current schooling pathway.

The Schurz Student Council is having a Sham-Rock Party on Thursday, March 17th to coincide with St. Patrick’s Day. 4th & 5th grade students will be able to dance to some up-beat music in the gym and play organized games/activities.* This party will begin around 1:00PM and go until 3PM. Green juice and pizza will also be provided. Be sure to turn your slip and $5.00 in order to participate. Money will be put towards the pizza and juice, as well as towards some prizes for some games!

*Students must be caught up on all their work and have good behavior prior to attending the Sham-Rock Party!

The annual Watertown Jig Jog 5K race will be held on Saturday, March 12th. The Educational Foundation of Watertown is a proud sponsor of the event, which helps support grants awarded to local schools. Participating in the event is a fantastic way to support local schools in Watertown.

The Watertown Unified School District will continue to provide FREE breakfast and lunch to ALL in-person learners through the end of the 2021 - 2022 school year!

Camp Invention is a nationally acclaimed summer program where STEM concepts come to life. It is for children entering grades K-6th grade.
