Energy Educator of the Week
Congratulations to Our Energy Educator of the Week, Kathy Ramos Tucker! Thank you for always going above and beyond for Hood-Case!

5:00-5:30 Meet us in the Hood-Case café for a short title 1 informational meeting and an introduction to our HC staff! We will also have a brief GT presentation. The cafeteria will have a PTO membership table and will be serving pizza for $2/slice.
5:30-6:30 Go visit classrooms and teachers to see what your students are learning and to sign up for a parent conference.
Hornet of the Week Students
Each week grade levels will select 1 student who has demonstrated trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. Congratulations to this week's winners!
Book Vending Machine
Students are earning their tokens and getting to pick a free book from the book vending machine. They earned their books for being responsible and making good choices.
Crazy 8s Club
Week Two of crazy 8s will be Monday from 4-5 pm. Please remember to bring a small snack to enjoy as you are waiting for the club to start. All members will sit in their pods during dismissal and wait to be picked up by Mrs. Magness and Mrs. Castle. 2nd and 3rd grade will be picked up at the front of the school and 4th and 5th will be picked up in car rider line.
We had a blast at week one of Crazy 8s!
We studies Neon Geometry using glow sticks and Styrofoam balls.
We worked in pairs and in groups. Can't wait to see what happens at week two!
Hornets PTO
School Store
School Store will be held on Friday, September 21 from 7:15-8:00 am. Everything is $1.00
PTO Meeting
Join us for our PTO Meeting at 4:30 in the cafe. This will be held right before Open house so come out and support your PTO. We will be selling pizza at $2 a slice from Domino's.
Teacher Treats
Please help us spoil our teachers on Friday, September 21st. Our theme is Nacho Average Teachers. Drop off between 7:15-8 in the car rider line or in the office before 10.
PTO Incentive
CONGRATULATIONS! Ms. VanPelt and Mrs. Fortune's class were both tied for the most PTO memberships. Both classes enjoyed a pizza party sponsored by PTO.

Start with Hello Week Sept. 18-22
Social isolation is a growing epidemic in the United States and within our schools, and it can be associated with violent and suicidal behavior. We began Start With Hello Week knowing that in every school and in every community, there are young people who suffer silently because they feel left out, alone or invisible. Each day students may participate in various activities found below.
