Twas the Newsletter Before Finals

We hope you have the chance to put a new spin on some of your favorite holiday traditions this year! The Library sure has. This time of year we love nothing more than setting some more logs in the fireplace, pouring some hot cocoa, getting nice and cozy under a blanket, and holding one-on-one online personalized research meetings with students. In the spirit of the season, we have some library news to share with some of our favorite things (you!).

Are you a fan of the Films on Demand database? You can now create interactive video quizzes using full videos, segments, custom content, and web channels. You can insert questions at specific points in a video and then share the quiz with students. Another great way to interact with your students and make the assessment fun.

You can request books using the Library Discovery tool, and visit https://mxcc.libguides.com/Fall2020/borrowing to make a book pick-up appointment.

Are your students working on their final papers/projects? Please let them know that they can email mx-library@mxcc.edu to set up an appointment for personalized research help. One-on-one appointments with students are conducted face to face, over Web-Ex.
