Words of Wisdom
"If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas."
~George Bernard Shaw
One of the first virtues we are taught as children is sharing with others. Sharing is a caring act. It’s always respectful, sometimes empathetic, and often, the responsible thing to do.
Sharing even one positive idea with another person can be an expression of all these virtues, but here’s what’s really important. In that sharing, the idea becomes bigger because it ripples out into the lives of more people, more homes, and more communities.

highlights from last week at CPA
Junior Class Day of Service
Some of the students spent the day volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. The rest of the students stayed at CPA and did service projects, including making 200 sandwiches that will be handed out to homeless people in our community.
Way to go, Tigers! We are proud of the work you are doing to make the world a better place!

Multilingual Family Night
You are invited to join us for CPA's Multilingual Family Night on Tuesday November 15 from 6-8pm in the RGA! This is a chance to meet with your child's English Language Development teacher, explore community resources, and celebrate your students and our multilingual families at CPA!
If you would like to attend, please RSVP by clicking here or contacting Megan Olsen (megano@cpapk12.org, 651-280-4561). Include the name of your students and how many people from your family are coming.
We are excited to meet you and your child and talk about how we can support your child as they develop their English language skills!
World Kindness Day
You can get involved by pledging to spread kindness on World Kindness Day (and every day)! Check in on a friend or family member you haven't seen for a while, hold the door for a stranger, give a compliment to someone, or do any act of kindness you can dream up. This is one small way we can build peace each day and make our world a better place!
Give to the Max Day!
School Pay
Are you looking for an easier way to make payments at school? Create a SchoolPay account!
SchoolPay accounts make it easier to process any payments you need to make to the school, athletics department, or cafeteria. Families can complete the application for free and reduced price lunch through School Pay, and families who receive free or reduced price lunch can also print their determination letter, which can be used to receive discounts at museums, MTC, and more!
Visit the CPA website to learn more and get started!
