Fall Scholastic Book Fair
Our Scholastic Book Fair will run Friday, Sept 2nd through Friday, Sept 9th, with a short sale the evening of Thursday, Sept 1st from 6-7:15 pm directly following Curriculum Night.
We hope you will stop by the school library before school, after school, or during lunch to see our newest selection of books, posters, and trinkets. Proceeds from the book fair will help our school purchase additional library books, author visits, and other needed library supplies.
As usual, we will need several volunteers to help run the cash registers. It is not complicated, and you can sign up below. Thank you to the many volunteers who have already signed up to help at the Book Fair. We still have a few slots left if you are able to help out. Especially on Friday, September 9th which will be extra busy as many of our Special Friends might like to stop in and shop while they visit the school. Thank you!

**A completed background check from this current school year is required to volunteer. We strongly encourage you to fill out one today using the large green link button below in the newsletter.
Families are welcome to join us at the book fair to shop, just be sure to stop in at the front office to print out a visitor's badge. Credit cards, cash, and checks are accepted, or you can go cashless by setting up a Scholastic eWallet account. The e-wallet allows you to deposit money online for your child(ren) to spend at school. After the fair, the remaining funds become a gift card balance that can be used online with Scholastic or to fund an eWallet for a future book fair.
When an adult makes a purchase they will be given the option to "round up their change." This extra amount is used to purchase books for students at our school who are unable to purchase books on their own, so the more we receive the more students we can help.
Also, be on the lookout for our Teacher Baskets. We've asked the teachers (and staff where applicable) to select their favorite books and put them into their labeled baskets. If you'd like to purchase one of these books for them, simply take it out of their basket, purchase it at a register, and have your child deliver it as a gift. They are always so appreciative of a growing classroom library.

Parking & Car Loop Reminders
We also ask that all families use the designated crosswalks on both the front and side loop when walking across the parking lot. We have staff members at both arrival and dismissal in our crosswalk areas to support our kids in getting across the loop area safely.
If you are parking in one of our parking lots, please be mindful not to use the handicap spaces for parking or for pulling in to drop off learners unless you have a handicap vehicle designation. This allows these spots to be open for our families and learners that do require the use of the handicap locations to park.
If parking spots in our main two lots are full, please find another location. Parking along the back curbs of the lots is not an option, as it blocks in vehicles and makes it hard for people to get in and out of the area. You are welcome to utilize the Cozby library parking lot for overflow parking. Many of our parents choose to do this and then use the connecting sidewalk to walk over to our entrance.
Thank you for your help in keeping our kids safe!
