CEF Fall Newsletter
November 2018
A message from Executive Director, Carolyn Fisher
Dear CEF Supporters and Community Members,
Welcome to the start of the Centennial Education Foundation’s 22nd year. As always, our mission continues to focus on providing “above and beyond” educational experiences for the students of Centennial School District. We do this with a laser focus on our outcomes and a clear vision and belief in Centennial’s students and teachers.
Last year, CEF proudly funded 51 mini-grants and a middle school program ensuring enhanced learning experiences for our children. The mini-grants provided 16,000 opportunities for students and 493 opportunities for teachers. The impact the 51 mini-grants had on the students and teachers is driving the CEF Board to continue its goal of increasing student opportunities. Therefore, with a new school year, comes promise, hope, and excitement for providing more and more opportunities for the students.
It is my hope that this newsletter will keep you updated because without you, our passionate and dedicated community of supporters, CEF’s mission would be impossible. Our dedication to the students is only meaningful if we are partners together. You are the vehicle that enables us to be viable and relevant.
As a result, this newsletter was produced to provide transparency and clearly communicate the impact of our work to the district. I hope the information within inspires you to join our community of givers because your gift truly makes a difference in our children’s educational experience.
Sincerely,
Carolyn

A Night with Ray Didinger
Thank you to everyone who came out for our "A Night with Ray Didinger" event on October 17th at William Tennent High School. Almost 200 people spent the night listening to Ray Didinger talk about the Eagles and the history of the team. Everyone enjoyed a tailgate dinner, book signing, 50/50 drawing and raffle prizes. CEF raised more than $4,000!
A big THANK YOU goes to all of our sponsors: Quaint Oak Bank, Police and Fire Federal Credit Union, Duke Digital Media, Robert Immerman, and Wawa. Without our community partnerships none of this would be possible.
CEF Annual Golf Outing
THANK YOU to all our sponsors, players, and volunteers who came out to support our annual CEF Golf Outing on June 18, 2018. Golfers had a great time playing 18 holes of golf while enjoying some refreshments along the course! The day included a continental breakfast, buffet lunch, silent auction, team prizes and a putting contest!
Sensation Stations
William Tennent High School psychology students experienced "Sensation Stations" funded by CEF. Students ran tests and did experiments to figure out the strength of each sense! Using various methods such as optical illusions, smelling spices, and navigating blindfolded, the students were able to study how the human mind gathers information through a person's senses. The students had a truly unique, hands on learning experience. This is why we rely on our supporters and community partnerships. We wouldn't be able to provide this experience without all of YOU.
YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
