Albright's Curriculum Night
Positivity Project (P2)
This week our Albright Middle School students have begun the “Positivity Project” (P2) in their anchor period. The mission of the Positivity Project is to empower America’s youth to build positive relationships and become their best selves. This week our students are learning about “other people mindset”. Other people mindset works to help our students see the good in others, realize what they say and do affects those around them, help others in need, encourage others when they do well, and stay present when listening to others. The students will also be taking a character strengths questionnaire to find out what specific character strengths are most prevalent for them.
The awesome thing about the Positivity Project is that they have resources for families to use with their children at home as well! These resources can be accessed for 5th grade family members by going to https://posproject.org/p2-for-families/3-5/ , scrolling down to “other people mindset”, and typing in the password P2. These resources can be accessed for 6-8th grade family members by going to https://posproject.org/p2-for-families/6-8/ , scrolling down to “other people mindset”, and typing in the password P2. The family lessons are not long! They have a 1-1-3 method. 1 quote, 1 video, and 3 questions to help you and your child(ren) discuss the P2 character strength of the week.
