State-mandated testing has begun
We have begun administering state-mandated assessments. As a reminder, we are not permitted to interrupt testing sessions once they begin. If your child has an appointment scheduled during one of these mandated assessments, please consider rescheduling it. Additionally, we will not be able to call into classes once testing begins. Sometimes parents come to the school to check-out their child for an appointment and ask us to call into the classroom - we will not be able to do this beginning next week. Please help us best support you and your child by sending a note with your child stating his/her need to be released from class and we will gladly accommodate you (and hopefully minimize your wait).
The Monday we return from Thanksgiving break, our End of Course (EOCs) assessments are scheduled to begin. This is the schedule for these tests:
EOC Schedule
Monday and Tuesday, Dec 9-10: Social Studies (U.S. History ad Economics)
Wednesday and Thursday, Dec 11-12: Science (Biology and Physical Science)
Friday, Dec 13 and Monday-Wednesday, Dec 16-18: Make-ups
Yearbook Holiday Sale and Senior Ads
During the holiday season, yearbooks are ON SALE for $65. To purchase both a yearbook and/or a senior ad, go to www.yearbookordercenter.com and key in our school’s order number (902).
RHHS Student Dues being collected
RHHS student dues continue to be collected for the 2019-20 school year. Dues are $30.00 if paid by January 15th. After January 15th, there will be a $5.00 late fee added. Dues must be paid no later than February 28th in order to receive a prom ticket as part of paid student dues. Dues are paid through MyPaymentsPlus.
Is your child looking for a job?
Our RHHS Work-Based Learning Program is currently looking for students who are interested in job opportunities!
Participation requirements recently changed, increasing the number of students who are eligible. In order to meet eligibility requirements, students must be at least 16-years-old, listed as a junior or senior, and have passed one CTAE course or at least be registered for a CTAE class, preferably in the career pathway for the position they are seeking. Interested students should see Mrs. Jennifer Sack in Room 602-she can give more information and answer any questions.

Semester exams/early release on exam days
Final exams will be administered during 1st and 3rd blocks on Tuesday, December 17 and 2nd and 4th blocks on Wednesday, December 18. All students will be released after their second exam at 10:40am.
Students who are eligible to exempt one or more exams will receive an exam exemption form during their 4th block class on Tuesday, December 10. This form must be signed by a parent or guardian and is due back to the 4th block teacher by Monday, December 16.
In order to exempt, students must have at least a 90 average, 86 or higher on the associated EOC/pass the associated EOPA, no more than 6 absences, no more than 6 tardies to school or 3 tardies to other classes, no OSS or ISS and be clear of the Obligations List. Freshmen may exempt no more than one exam, sophomores two exams, juniors three exams and seniors may exempt all exams. Students may check in late or leave early if they are exempt from an exam. Please contact your child’s grade level administrator if you have questions about exam exemptions.
Student Parking, spring semester
Administrators have reviewed the attendance and tardy records for students who were required to sign a parking contract in order to receive a parking decal for the 19-20 school year. Students who are in jeopardy of losing their parking decal for 2nd semester of this school year received a warning letter and conferenced with an administrator when they reached 5 tardies to school. Students who have since broken the contract will be notified prior to the end of first semester about the status of their parking privileges. Please contact Mrs. Tanner if you have questions about student parking.
Beta Club partners with Make-A-Wish
