Dear Families,


Who knew Harvey-Swanson had so much talent? We had a wonderful showing from our families and staff as we cheered on the students. Thank you to all of our P.T.O. members and volunteers that helped make our night special!



  • Today we celebrated March is Reading month with D.E.A.R time - Drop Everything And Read. We've purchase a book for your child to keep as a memory of their time at HSE.
  • On Monday, we'll experience a visit from Roary, the mascot from the Detroit Lions. Roary will encourage the students to read not just in the month of March, but for life.
  • Here is a quick survey from Dr.Outlaw and thoughts about next year. Please take a moment to answer a few questions by clicking below: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/EarlyReleaseWednesday
  • We are collecting non-perishable food items for O.C.E.F food pantry through Friday, March 31. Please drop off all non-perishable food items in the boxes available in the lobby.
  • Last call for lost and found items. All items left after March 23 will be donated. Please stop by and take a look.
  • Don't forget to remind your child to wear their HAWK shirt on Monday as we begin spirit week!

Scholastic Book Fair Help
Our book fair is coming the week of conferences. In order for it to be a success, we have a few slots available to volunteer. Click here for more information.
H.E.L.P. Group Corner (Click Here)
The H.E.L.P. group is another great way to get involved with HSE. Our next meeting is Thursday, March 16 at 4:00 p.m. in the HSE Library.

-Thursday: Dress like your teacher or Mr. Renner Day

-Friday: Wear green

March 16- Spring Pictures

March 16- H.E.L.P. Meeting at 4:00 p.m. in HSE library

March 17- Half Day dismissal at 12:10 p.m. / Popcorn Day $1.00

March 20- Brandon School Board Meeting at 6:30 p.m. at I-TEC Center

March 20 and 22 Parent Teacher Conferences/ Book Fair in library

March 24- NO SCHOOL

March 31- Special Person Day @ 2:30 p.m.
