Keystone Middle School

This newsletter will help bridge the gap from school to home in regards to our positive behavior system here at KMS. I will touch base on what we are doing, why we are doing it, how it is going to so far...and how you can help!!

Throughout the day students are encouraged to show P.R.I.D.E. This means students are displaying various traits throughout the day. Students are using a positive mindset and demonstrating responsibility in their actions and school work. Students are also showing integrity by being trustworthy, honest, and kind. They are driven to be the best versions of themselves as well as staying motivated to finish tasks. Lastly, students are engaged in their daily activities, willing to help others, and are present in the moment.

All staff members are dedicated to supporting this behavior through a positive behavior system. When a student is showing P.R.I.D.E they receive a stamp on their stamp sheet. They can receive stamps at any point in the day, from any teacher. The stamp sheet has "prize stops" along the way. See below for an example of a stamp sheet and the different opportunities available to students.

Parents are always welcome to come help with upcoming PBIS events! Below are the events we have coming up! Click the links below for opportunities to help. Thank you!!

November 18th- Friendsgiving Dance- Students can purchase dance tickets for $5. There will also be snacks, drinks, and candy available to purchase. The dance starts during IE and goes until 4.

November 22nd- Students who earn a movie pass on their stamp sheet will have the opportunity to watch a movie during the school day!
