Sharing Ideas
Last week, Superintendent Tim Reeves, Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services Teresa Fulk, and Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operation Leslie Wagner, invited some 4th-12th grade students to the Administration office to share their feedback on the district. Students were also provided with a delicious Italian meal from our Food Service Department. Overall, it was a very productive meeting!
Steeby's New Sensory Room
Mrs. Timmer shared pictures of Steeby's new sensory room. With the help from the Wayland Union Education Foundation grant and special education funding, their students now have a room to go to!
The Polar Express
Students in Mrs. Kupres's classroom were visited by Superintendent Tim Reeves earlier this week! Mr. Reeves introduced himself by doing a fun Q&A with the students. Afterwards, he read to the class The Polar Express, which was followed by a character trait activity where students brainstormed words that described the boy's personality in the book. Such a fun activity!
Santa's Elves
Every year, elementary students have the opportunity to write a letter to Santa. NHS students, who were Santa's Elves, had the opportunity to respond to student's letters and delivery them to the classrooms throughout the district. Students loved their letters and candy canes!
Pictured are Mrs. Kupres's students with NHS members Brady Cassini, Peyton Moore, Danny Keena, and Lucas Varnagatus.
Christmas Caroling
On the week of December 11th, various groups of Wayland Middle School Choir Students went caroling in the community. They were able to sing at area businesses, retirement homes, and a Veterans Hospital. Many listeners expressed appreciation and spoke of how much they look forward to the kids singing. Thank you WMS students!
