Thank you parents and community members for your patience as we prepare for our back to school season. Families and students have the opportunity to begin classes face-to-face or through Huskies On-line. Please see the dates below for open house and Huskies On-line resource pick up.



First Day of School

Monday, August 31st



Elementary Open House

August 25th, 5:30-6:30 pm

Using the first letter of your student’s last name, please use the following schedule to help promote social distancing.

5:30 pm - 5:50 pm (A - G)

5:50 pm - 6:10 pm (H - O)

6:10 pm - 6:30 pm (P - Z)

Open House to be held outdoors at BES, please wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.


Elementary Virtual Resources Pick Up

August 25th 9 am-Noon and 3 pm to 5:30 pm


6th Grade Orientation

August 25th, 6-7 PM

Using the first letter of your student’s last name, please use the following schedule to help promote social distancing.

6:00 pm - 6:15 pm (A - E)

6:15 pm - 6:30 pm (F - L)

6:30 pm - 6:45 pm (M - S)

6:45 pm - 7:00 pm (T - Z)


MS/HS Virtual Resources Pick Up

Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures - Elementary

Elementary Bus Drop Off and Pick Up

If you are dropping off or picking up your student at the beginning and end of the school day, please do not use the bus loop. This front entrances is for bus traffic only.

Student Pick Up During the School Day

If your student needs to be picked up for an appointment. Please park in the southwest lot and enter the main office doors.

Parent Drop Off Area

If you are dropping off or picking up your student at the beginning and end of the school day, please use the East parking lot loop to drop off your student. Please stay in your vehicles as we will have staff helping your student enter the building. Before school the building will open at 7:40 and will be released at 2:45

Pick Up Changes MUST be called in prior to 2:00 p.m. daily

Parent Drop off Area/ Student Drivers

If you are dropping off or picking up your student at the beginning and end of the school day, please use the West (Athletic) parking lot loop to drop off your student. Please stay in your vehicles. Before school the building will open at 7:50 and will be released at 3:00. Student drivers will park in West lot and enter through Athletic entrance.

Daily Health Screening

Parents please be checking your students every day before school. It is imperative that we work together to keep our students and staff safe and healthy! Below is a daily screening questionnaire to guide the decision to keep a student home or not.

Masks

Donations and Masks

Breckenridge Community Schools has had several gracious donations for the 2020-2021 school year. Ryan Smith from Gemini Capital Management, LLC donated school supplies for our Breckenridge Elementary students. The 4M: Mid-Michigan Mask Makers Group has donated 600 handmade masks, and we also recieved an additional anonymous donation of 480 face shields and 1000 face masks. We also appreciate the many donations from parents and families. Thank you for supporting Breckenridge Community Schools.


Breckenridge Community Schools will be requiring students in all grades to wear masks on transportation, in hallways during common or passing times, and in restrooms.

PK-5 students will not need to wear masks in the classroom, at recess, and at lunch as they will be with their classroom groups during this time.

6th-12th grade students will wear their masks in their classrooms. All students are able to remove their mask to eat and drink during provided times and at lunch.


If your student is in need of face masks, please contact your student's office.

Food Service Information

You can print FREE & REDUCED lunch forms OR complete them

online, monitor your student’s lunch balance, AND add funds to

their account from our website at www.breckhuskies.org


To print lunch forms:

Click Administration → Food Service → Free and Reduced Form

To complete forms online:

Click Administration → Food Service → ps1000 → Enter User Id & Password → School Meals Application (top right)

To monitor lunch balance:

Click Administration → Food Service → ps1000 → Enter User Id & Password

To add funds to account:

Click Administration → Food Service → ps1000 → Enter User Id & Password → Account Deposit

your log in information.

Congratulations to the class of 2020 who graduated on July 28. Best of luck as you are enrolling in college or entering the workforce!
