Dear Families - Read on for the News
Community Circle
Middle School Dance
The Middle School Dance is THIS SATURDAY from 7pm-10pm.
The theme is “Masquerade Ball”—we’ll have a station to make your own masks, or bring your own! Dressing up is not required.
This dance is free of charge so that every student can comfortably attend, but we will be taking donations if you feel so inclined (your student can bring cash or you may donate through PPCS—just designate it for Parent Crew). Donations will go toward making more dances available to students in the future.
We’d love some parent-help, too! Please sign up here https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0C44ACAF2CA7FA7-middle if you’d like to help chaperone or setup/take down.

Playground Work Party - Date Change
Feed the Readers Success!
with Idaho Gives. We met and exceeded our fundraising goal! 67 donors
from families and community members earned $3,345 (including $700
match from the Palouse Prairie Charter School [PPCS] Board).

Renée Hill, PPCS Instructional Coach, says these funds will help our
school purchase books to improve the quality and quantity of
literature available in our newly developing school-wide library. We
are also exploring options for an electronic check-out system. She
says "Thank you again to everyone who helped make this happen!"
PPCS parents Michelle and Will donated because "I am so grateful that
our daughter learned to read by the end of kindergarten OVER ZOOM!
PPCS goes to great lengths to provide an amazing education. Building a
library of books brings awesome resources right to the students'
fingertips."
Jessica Bearman, PPCS Board Chair, who encouraged us to apply for
Idaho Gives to start our library expansion, says "I'm grateful that
Palouse Prairie nurtured my children's love of reading and taught them
to read widely and closely for learning!" Thanks again for all who
contributed to our Idaho Gives campaign.
Yearbooks
This year our yearbook will be all digital. This means it will be available to everyone free of cost! It will also be in a printable format for those who choose to print a hard copy. There is no need to sign up, we will be emailing them out to all families.
Parent Crew - Teacher Appreciation
The Parent CREW would like to celebrate the wonderful, teachers at PPCS by having a catered meal for our staff at a date that works best for them. If we are able to collect enough donations, we would also like to send our staff on a summer adventure. In previous years, the Parent CREW was able to pay for our teaching staff to go white water rafting. Contributions towards our effort would be greatly appreciated by May 31. Cash and checks (made to PPCS-with Teacher Appreciation in memo) can be dropped of at the PPCS office in an envelope labeled "Teacher Appreciation". If it is more convenient you can also send your donation directly to Heather Flynn via PayPal or Venmo (@heatherflynn0705).
