A Note from the Principals:
Dear Break-O-Day Families,
We are gearing up to start our ILEARN testing for the school year in grades 3-5 starting on Monday! It is very important that your child is here at school on each day of testing. If possible, we ask that you avoid scheduling appointments during your child's testing days. If you have an upcoming absence that falls during your child's testing days, please notify your child's teacher as soon as possible so we can ensure they have an opportunity to make up their testing sessions.
Dates for testing:
ILEARN testing for grades 3-5 will take place starting this Monday, April 17th and will continue through Thursday, April 27th, with make ups the following week. At this time, we do not have tests scheduled on Fridays either week. Students in grades 3-5 will be working hard and showing their best effort and celebrating each Friday with sweet surprises!
Our teachers have been preparing our students for these tests all year long! We are confident in their abilities to show what they know and do their best on the ILEARN test! We had some fun today with an ILEARN Pep Session and “Fashion Show” featuring many of the staff as the ILEARN Test sisters and brother. Be sure to ask your child to share!
We ask families for their support in making sure students are well rested and ready for school. We ask that you send a snack to school with your child as well as a refillable water bottle. We encourage you to read through the tips below with your child.
Tips for Testing Success
1. Get plenty of rest the night before. ***THIS IS SO IMPORTANT!***
2. Enjoy a good breakfast...we will serve free breakfast at school every day!
3. Dress in comfortable clothes.
4. Arrive at school on time.
5. Stay relaxed -- take some slow, deep breaths.
6. Pay careful attention to instructions and ask questions if anything is not clear.
7. Believe in yourself and commit to doing your best on the test!
We are very proud of our students and look forward to seeing them give their best effort on ILEARN! We look forward to getting them pumped up to do their best with some fun activities the next two weeks!
If you have not yet registered your child for 2023-2024, please take care of this ASAP! As of right now, only 47% of our students are registered for next year. We want to see that percentage rise to help us prepare for next school year. It doesn’t take long and will help us out a lot with our planning! THANK YOU!
Unlike in years past, if you do not re-enroll your child for the 2023-2024 school year, you will not be able to see a schedule or homeroom teacher for the following school year. We will have class lists posted live in July the Friday before school begins. To be sure that your child is on a class list and you are able to see their homeroom teacher’s name as soon as available, be sure to re-enroll. This process doesn’t take long and is now available on smartphones as well.
Please complete the online registration process through the Clark-Pleasant Website
