WMS Weekly Update January 27, 2023

Good Afternoon WMS Families:

Band/Chorus Information:

• Please see attached for information on WMS band & chorus options for next year.
• Please see the message for 8th Graders interested in joining band or chorus at Attleboro High School.

PTO News & Penny Wars:

• It’s time for a little friendly competition between grades! Penny Wars will take place February 1st – February 15th. Students may bring in pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars. To earn points, students may place pennies in the jar representing their grade during lunch periods. One point will be earned for every penny in the container. Students may place silver coins and dollars in another grade’s jar to deduct points from their total; they will lose points based on the value of the coin. A nickel will cause a loss of 5 points, a dime 10 points, a quarter 25 points and a dollar bill 100 points. The grade with the highest number of points at the end of penny wars will win a pizza party sponsored by the Wamsutta PTO.

• The PTO is looking for parents interested in helping plan and be involved in the 8th grade student vs. staff basketball game. The game will take place on Friday, March 3rd. Anyone interested in helping out can email wamsuttapto@gmail.com. Thank you!
