As a part of Teacher Appreciation Week, students were given suggestions for showing appreciation for their teachers. one of the events was Wacky Wednesday where students dressed as teachers and teachers dressed as students. We had a great time reversing roles for the day!

Congratulations to Dillon R. and Bridget K. for being awarded the Illinois Principal Association of the DuPage Region's Student Recognition Award for Albright Middle School. Their teachers nominated them for their school connectedness, positive attitude, and academic achievement. Ms. Aulisa presented them and celebrated their award with over 100 other student nominees across DuPage County. Great work, Dillon and Bridget.

Earlier this week all middle school students learned about a free resource, Safe2Help, the district has decided to enroll in. Safe2Help is a website and app students can use to confidentially seek help if they are experiencing mental health issues, have experienced thoughts of self harm, or know of another person who is thinking about harming themselves or others. If a student reaches out, the contact center either reaches out to the local police or school administration depending on the severity of the situation. There are also resources on the website for students to learn more about a variety of mental health topics. Here is a link to the website for you to check out. Graduation letter and tickets were mailed home on Monday, May 8th. If you have not received the letter or have questions about tickets please email Mrs. Beckwith.

The 8th grade graduation dance planning committee is looking for volunteers to help decorate the Swartz gym or monetary donations for pizzas and/or Amazon Wish List items. Please click on the SignUp Genius link here to lend a helping hand. The full description has how you can help, who to send money to, and other important details. We would love as much help as we can to decorate the gym. Our time is limited with there being school during the day. You can also send your high school or college graduates/students who may not have school while we decorate. We appreciate your time and consideration.

Please register for next year on Skyward, if you have not already done so. We have made it all online this year. No packets will be mailed home. If you need any assistance with your skyward password please contact Mrs. Beckwith in the office for help. This year we are using a new program to verify your residency. If there is a problem or discrepancy that comes up, you will be contacted by your school office in July. We have worked hard to make this process easy and seamless.

Thank you to all the girls who joined cosmo club. We had a wonderful time and got to do some really fun things! Maybe if we are lucky we can do it again next year!! Mornings are busy in the school office. Please ensure that students are ON TIME and if they are going to be absent are called into school with a reason. Students who are NOT CALLED IN TO SCHOOL are UNEXCUSED. Doors close in the back of the building at 7:43am, if students come into door 1 they are considered tardy to school. NO MORE E-PAY! We have rolled out a new way to pay for lunches, school fees and activity fees for students. You can sign up here https://saltcreek48.revtrak.net/. Or you can go to your parent portal in skyward, click on the fee payment tile, then in the far right hand top corner click on the "make online payments" button. This will take you to Revtrak. Make sure to sign up before you try to make payment. Once you can sign in, click the Make a Payment button in the middle of the page. This new service will streamline the payments so you can make a payment or set up recurring payments. This is directly connected to Skyward so you see the money immediately go to your child's account. If you have any questions please email or call your school office.
