This weekend brings a couple of great fundraisers to the Webster community. WHile you are out an about on Saturday, stop by Kittlebergers and Barnes and Noble to hear some great TItan musicians, get some holiday shopping done and support our Titan Scholars and PTSA.
...just a reminder that our holiday spirit week is just a week away.

Urban League of Rochester Black Scholars Early Recognition Program
Congratulations to the following Titans who were recently recognized at a regional awards ceremony in the Black Scholars Early Recognition Program. UB Cybersecurity Competition
On Saturday, December 2, a team of 5 students from Schroeder and Thomas participated in UBNetDef’s High School Lockdown v10. Adam C (Thomas), Jenna D (Thomas), Jacqueline H (Schroeder), Sameer S (Thomas) and Jack S (Schroeder) spent 5.5 hours defending a network from a variety of cyber attacks. The team took first place!!!
3d Art Workshop
Thank you to Jewelry artist/ former Titan Art Teacher Lauren Peck for doing a 4 part metalsmithing workshop with our 3DAP Art class. The students are learning & practicing multiple techniques that can be applied to sheet metal, then designing and creating their own silver band rings. We are very excited about this opportunity provided by the PTSA and Cultural Arts.
Webster Thomas High School’s Multi-Purpose Athletic Facility Wins Award
On December 3, 2023, Webster Central School District and LaBella Associates received an award at the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA) Technical Meeting and Trade Show in Houston, Texas. The multi-purpose athletic facility at Webster Thomas High School was recognized as a 2023 Distinguished Facility in the Multi Field Facility category. This award is presented to facilities that support ASBA’s goal of promoting excellence in sports facility construction and design.

Here is your winter Driver Education update!
Registration for driver ed will be held on December 6 and 7. December 6 registration is for current seniors and juniors. December 7 is for sophomores.
The dates and times will be visible on our website by late Friday, December 1.
We expect driving and lectures to begin the week of January 8 and go through mid March. Lectures will be held via zoom on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 - 9. When you register, you are registering for a driving time. Follow this link https://www.websterschools.org/districtpage.cfm?pageid=912

Overwatch2 Team
The Thomas Overwatch2 Team fell to the 2023 Spring Major Champions from Brooklyn Technical High School on Tuesday night, ending their season.
Thomas Overwatch Team consisted of Senior Ethan M., Juniors Evan G., Will L.. Forrest L., Ethan J., Johnny V, and Drew L..

The team opens up the season and competes at Nazareth this weekend
Bowling
The Titans Bowling teams were in action Tuesday evening vs Eastridge. The teams both suffered losses. The girls lost 0-5 and Boys lost 1-4. High scores for the match for the girls were Gianna L with a personal new high game of 174. Emily Schreiber had a 151,150,165 for a 466 series.
High scores on the night for the Boys were Joey D with a new personal high game of 189. CJ A had a 196 and 238.
Boys Basketball
The Thomas Titans Varsity Boys Basketball Team got their first win of the season Tuesday night against Spencerport, 60-35. Shane T led the way with 14 points, while Joey B added 13 points and 8 rebounds. AJ L made three 3 pointers in the fourth quarter to help seal the victory. The Titans take on defending state champion Victor this Friday night in their home opener!
Girls Basketball
The Varsity Girls played Wednesday evening at Greece Athena. They were out paced by Greece and suffered a 42-37 loss. Kristina B had 17 points and 10 rebounds on the night. Emily F had 8 points and 8 rebounds. The Girls travel to Canandaigua Saturday for a 2pm game.
Wrestling
The Titan Wrestlers hosted Brighton Wednesday night. They beat the Bruins 70-0 picking up their first dual meet win of the season. There were forfeits in 8 weight classes. Keiran H (190) started it off for the Titans with a 18-10 major decision. Jonathan S( 160) had a pin. Eric M (138) scored a Technical fall 16-0. John L(145) won by decision 10-5. Connor G (108). Next up for the Titans is the Penfield Invitational Saturday.
Hockey
The Titans hosted Penfield Wednesday evening and beat the Patriots 4-1. Ryan G scored 2 goals. Nathen N scored a goal,with an assist from Logan B. Trevor V scored from an assist from Ted P. Michael N made several key saves, especially in the closing minutes to preserve the 4-1 win. Titans play Pittsford Tuesday at the Bill Gray's Iceplex.
