The Des Moines Arts Festival is a little over a month away and over half of our beverage tent volunteer shifts haven’t been filled. CMPG is one of the few nonprofits selected to staff beverage tents at the festival. We rely on the terrific network of Cowles volunteers to raise funds to pay for fun student activities like Fine Arts Day and field trips to places like the Civic Center and the Arts Museum, as well as supplies for our art classes and music programs. Costs are higher than ever and school budgets are stretched thin, CMPG funding is critical to keeping our Arts programs vibrant!

When and where is the festival? The Des Moines Arts Festival is June 23 - 25, at Western Gateway Park. Spend a few fun hours meeting and volunteering alongside Cowles parents and raise money for our school! Sign up for the Craft Beer Tent or the Main Stage Tent (where the #1 item sold is water)! Better yet, take a shift at both! All volunteers receive a free Montessori T-shirt, printed by Raygun!
Who can volunteer? Anyone 18 or older who wants to have fun while making money for our kids at Cowles can volunteer!! Get a group together to work a shift - Volunteers do NOT need to be Cowles-affiliated to come join in the fun. Ask your family or friends to sign up, the more the merrier!
Beverage training is required every two years. The trainings will be held June 13 & 14 from 5:30 - 6:30pm, both over Zoom,.
