CHRISTMAS CONCERT TICKET INFORMATION

We are excited to announce that this year the St.Patrick School Council is going to be purchasing 2 tickets per family for this year’s Christmas Concert.

Tickets will go on sale November 27th, WALK-UP only at the Jeanne and Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre box office (4501 50th street). The box office opens at 9am. The staff at the Lougheed Centre have been given “family lists” where ticket sales can be tracked so all families have equal opportunity to see their children perform. Special consideration has also been made for blended families.

When tickets are being purchased, families can receive their 2 free tickets and also buy an additional two tickets at the same time.

On December 4th any unsold tickets will be open up to purchase at first come first serve where these sales will also be tracked to each family.(2 more tickets each) Children 18 months and under do not need to purchase a ticket and can sit on a lap.

If you need support purchasing tickets, please speak directly to Mrs.Nanias and the school community will support your needs confidentially.

Upcoming Absence reporting now available directly in PowerSchool

As we move foward with reporting absences into Powerschool, we ask that all student absences be submitted through Powerschool. If there is no access to Powerschool, student absences can be reported directly to the office by phone call or email stps@eics.ab.ca

PowerSchool can also continue to be used to view grades and report cards, pay fees, and update student information (including medical information).

Our Elk Island Catholic Schools IT department is continuing to work on implementing additional features, so keep an eye out in our Smores for future updates!

Morning and afterschool busing

Please do not walk between the buses while they are lined up for drop off and pick up. This is an unsafe practice that could lead to a preventable injurgy. There are two cross walks located by the front entry way of the school.

Safety Patrol

Our Gr. 4 leaders are now providing crosswalk patrol in front of the school. We ask all parents and students use the crosswalk to ensure a safe crossing as we are trying to teach our students to navigate a crosswalk safely.

School Behaviour Matrix

This year at St.Pat's we have implemented a School Behaviour Matrix. This matrix was created by students and staff at the end of last school year on how to use our school spaces appropriately and continue to make our school an AMAZING place to learn and grow!

SCHOOL OFFICE REMINDERS

SCHOOL OFFICE HOURS

The office hours are: 8:00 - 3:30 during scheduled school days.

If calling during lunch time (12:00 - 12:30) please leave a message and Ms. Miller will return your call as soon as she can.

Remember to phone and book an appointment if you need to come into the school @ 780-672-2177. To report an absense call the school office or email stps@eics.ab.ca

PARENT VOLUNTEERS

Parents wanting to volunteer at the school or for field trips need to have a Criminal Record Check, Child Intervention Check and sign a Volunteer Confidentiality Undertaking form.

Request forms for these can be picked up at the school office. If you are unsure if you have these documents already completed you can call the office and we can check. These checks can take a while to process so if you are wanting to volunteer please get these done ASAP.

END OF DAY PHONE MESSAGES TO STUDENTS

If you have a message to pass onto your child for end of day arrangements please call the school office no later than 3:10 pm. It is very difficult to track down a child once they have left the classroom at the end of the school day.

PARENT/VISITORS - SCHOOL ACCESS

All visitors to the school must sign in at the office.
