The Agape Team did fantastic at the MLK Assembly last Friday. We were so proud of them. 😊

Need help with high energy bills due to the cold weather? Everett Energy Assistance Program is now open for all types of utility assistance!
- Our office will be open to assist applicants in person, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM. We will stop taking applications at 3:00 pm at the Energy Assistance office.
- **PLEASE NOTE: Our office is closed on Wednesdays. Staff will be available by phone, the front desk will not be open to apply or submit applications directly to staff. The drop box is always available Mon – Fri 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. **
- Clients will be able to apply for energy assistance online 24/7 located through this link Online Application which will be provided on our County Website or by phone.
- Our phone hours for live interviews will be Monday through Thursday from 9:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. & 1 to 3:30 P.M.
- Clients wanting to inquire about their application may call our phone line Monday thru Thursday between the hours of 9 AM to 3:30 PM.

Hit a Home-Run Bookmark Contest
Garfield Elementary will be participating in the Aqua Sox Hit a Home-Run in Reading beginning March 8th students will be reading and tracking their reading at school and at Home. (we will send more information soon). Before all the fun starts there is a Reading Bookmark Contest. Enclosed is the link to print the entry form. Mrs. Weber will have entry forms for students to take home as well. Parent Signatures are required. If you return your entries to school by February 10th Mrs. Weber will drop them off at the AquaSox office.

NOMINATION COMMITTEE: We are forming the committee tasked with helping find parents to be on the 2024-2025 board. Please reach out if you are interested.
MOVIE NIGHT: Students are currently voting on which movie will be shown at our next movie night! Originally, we had two upcoming movie nights but have opted to consolidate them into one since they were so close together. The next movie night will be Thursday, February 8 from 5-7pm at Garfield. We hope to see you there!
SILVERTIPS FUNDRAISER: We received word that we will be receiving $900 from the Everett Youth Hockey Club for our assistance with the 50/50 raffle on Jan. 6! Thank you to all our families that helped make that possible! We still have room for more volunteers at our February 10th Silvertips fundraiser. Please sign up via our Linktree above if you are interested.
VOLUNTEERS: We have been in short supply of volunteers this year. If you are interested in volunteering we will eagerly work within your schedule. If you want to help but are unsure how, here is a helpful article you can check out for ideas.

Dual Language Spanish Immersion Program
Emerson Elementary School's Dual Language Spanish Immersion Program is excited to announce upcoming kindergarten informational sessions designed to provide parents with comprehensive insights into this enriching educational opportunity.

Everett Public Schools Foundation Event
We are so excited to announce the Everett Public Schools Foundation’s Annual Benefit Event is coming to you soon! The Everett Public Schools Foundation (EPSF) is excited for our 30th Annual Benefit Event – A Movie Premiere “Sammy”, a Rudy inspired story! This year, our event will have two showings of our movie premiere. Our “Main Event” will be Thursday evening, March 14; we would love for you and your team to attend this evening event with your staff! We know how important it is for you to be on site with your students, and we hold this evening event so that we don’t pull your staff out of the building.
Our second showing is a matinee on March 22. This showing is designed specifically for our business community partners, and parents/guardians that are not able to attend the evening event. The links to register for both showings are provided below.
We need your help to make this a HUGE success and reach our goal of $100,000 and 500 people in attendance!

1. Invite your school communities! We are counting on all principals to have at least 10 guests in attendance. Invite your staff, volunteers, PTA, families, and community members!
2. PRIZE- Staff Lunch! For each elementary, middle, and high school with the most staff in attendance, they will get a staff lunch provided by the Everett Education Association.
3. Register your Guests! You can now reserve a seat for your guests. (Up to 10 people at a time) Please include their name and email so that they will get an email confirmation and select yourself as their Team Captain. If guests register themselves, be sure to tell them to select you as their Team Captain. (I will have the ability to track who has registered as your guest if needed!)
4. Check In table: Once registered, each guest will get an email confirmation with a ticket. Guests should check in at the reception table when they arrive.
5. Email Invitation! The Foundation will send you an email invitation for you to send out to your guests. It will have a scripted message that you can edit to your liking. Look for this email the week of January 8.
6. What to wear: We encourage you to wear your favorite team “Swag” to show off your team spirit.

First Semester Ends Soon
This is a reminder first semester ends February 1. Report cards and Elementary Progress Reports will be both online and mailed/distributed by February 16.
