A Message from Mrs. Caudill
As you know as adults, some mornings are more challenging than others. I start every morning with a delicious cup of coffee, some type of workout and a loud car concert during my commute. Regardless of all those things, some days no matter what I do, I am just a bit blah.
However, that changes the moment I step outside for arrival and when I visit every classroom each morning to tell them, Good Morning and to have an amazing day. The smiles, hugs, high fives, stories, and pure joy I am shown has the ability to snap me out of whatever funk I was in that day.
If you are ever having "one of those days", I suggest beginning your day with our Bobcats. They bring out the best in us!
Stay Well,
Devon Caudill

Kindergarten Fire Safety Week
It was a big day in kindergarten this week when the Fire Department came to visit. Kindergarteners have been learning about fire safety all week and their week ended with the fire department coming and discussing what it means to be a community helper, what do do at home in case of a fire and of course seeing a fire truck! A huge thank you to both the Northville City and Township FIre Departments that work together in order to make this happen!

Don’t Scrap the App!
Completing the Application for Summer EBT and Education Benefits for Michigan School Meals Program may result in important resources for your student such as Summer EBT, fee waivers, and resources for classrooms! The Michigan School Meals program supplements the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program, meaning that parents of students who would otherwise be eligible for free or reduced meals should continue to submit applications for free or reduced meals for their students. Even though meals will be free this year, it is vitally important that parents who meet, or believe they may meet, the free and reduced income guidelines, submit an application to ensure maximum benefits for their students and the District. Some of these benefits include: athletics and activities discounts for student fees associated with participating in athletics and activities programs, SAT/ACT/AP test discounts for academic testing, college application discounts for college application fees, discounted internet access services, federal/state/local school funding for school budgets, Summer EBT.

Leader in Me October Focus: Habit 1 - Be Proactive
Habit 1 – Be Proactive – “I’m in Charge of Me”
What this means: Take charge of your own life. Make it happen. Don't wait for someone else to do it.
“I am responsible for me.”
“I do the right thing before I am asked.”
“I do the right thing even when no one is looking.”
“I do not blame others for my actions.”
How can I do this in my life?
1. If you do something wrong, say you are sorry before someone asks you to apologize.
2. When you get mad and want to say something, stop, think, and ask yourself-
Why am I getting so angry? Make a good choice in a good way.
Great Books for Habit #1- Be Proactive
- The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds
- Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst
- Because of Winn Dixie by Kate DiCamillo
- The Little Engine that Could by Watty Piper
- Amazing Grace by Mary Hoffman
- Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun by Maria Dismondy
