Career Cluster of the Month: Information Technology
Information Technology
Every month SDoL is highlighting one career cluster. Career clusters are a selection of jobs within one of 16 different areas as defined by the US Department of Labor.
In Demand Local Careers
The demand for computer network support specialists is expected to grow by 5.3% by 2024 in Lancaster County. This career requires an Associates degree with an entry salary of $42,250 and a median salary of $54,680 in Lancaster County.
Local Postsecondary Training Option
Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology offers an associates degree program in computer networking. A larger percentage of SDoL students take advantage of the Stevens Grant and pay little to no tuition to attend.
