4K: Monday-Thursday: 7:25 - 10:35AM (only)

School starts at 7:25am. Please have your child(ren) to school prior to that time to avoid being tardy and missing valuable learning. If your child is tardy past 8:10am, please pack a cold lunch as they will not be counted for hot lunch.

If your child is out ill please call the office and make them aware your child will not be in school or use the Attendance Request Processing form in Infinite Campus. IF your child is at a doctor’s appointment (MD, dentist, therapist, etc.) please bring an excuse from the office stating your child was at an appointment.

Regular attendance at school is vital for academic success. Students who regularly miss school are more likely to miss early learning milestones, are less likely to graduate on time, are more likely to drop out of school, and are more likely to experience poor outcomes in adulthood. Please help us and your student(s) by bringing them to school regularly and on time.

Parents and guardians just wanted to communicate a concern that has come up with students who are riding in cars. If students are being picked up using the car line pick up, families are to pick up those students on the school side of 20th avenue. Please do not wave your children across the street, children need to be escorted by a parent or guardian unless they are using the family pick up lane.

Los padres y tutores solo querían comunicar una preocupación que ha surgido con los estudiantes que viajan en automóviles. Si los estudiantes son recogidos usando la línea de recogida de automóviles, las familias deben recoger a esos estudiantes en el lado de la escuela de la avenida 20. Por favor, no haga señas a sus hijos al otro lado de la calle, los niños deben ser escoltados por un padre o tutor a menos que estén usando el carril de recogida familiar.

This is a reminder for all drivers to obey the posted street signs. There is no parking on the school side of 78th street and unless using the family pick up lane there is to be no parking on the school side of 20th ave. Additionally, families please do not park in front of the school driveway entrance or residence driveways in the neighborhood. Please call the main office with any questions 262-359-6362.

As any parent knows, our children do not always make the best choices and our role as educators is to help them reflect on those choices and learn to make better ones in the future. Please click this link to view the Behavior Reflection our teachers will be using in this process. If a student receives a behavior reflection, the teacher will conference with the student, record the incident and identify if the student was not being responsible, respectful, or safe. That form will go home to parents with the student to be reviewed and signed. The student is to bring the form back the next day.

Although Grewenow will use email as a main form of communication, there may be times when we need to make phone calls or send text messages to ensure information comes out quickly. Grewenow has been assigned two crossing guards. One at the corner of 78 st and 22ave and one at 75th and 22 ave

Monday - Friday AM 6:55-7:20

Monday - Thursday PM 2:30-3:00

Friday PM 11:24-11:54

Breakfast will be served before school this year every day from 6:50 - 7:15AM in the multi-purpose room. Students will enter the main entrance (Door 1). After 7:10, any student who's finished their meal will be dismissed to the playground for the morning lineup.

*Note: Early Education students will have breakfast in their classroom at 7:25.

Student attendance will be taken like it always is. Students who arrive to their classroom after the 7:25AM bell will be marked tardy

• Daily attendance is important for student success and required by law for all grade K-12 students.

• If your child is not coming to school please make sure to call our office at (262) 359-6362.
• If no one answers, please leave a message with the student's name and a brief reason for the absence (i.e. doctor's appointment, stomach issues, etc.)

KUSD is not responsible for any accidental injuries that occur to students while under the school's supervision or participating in interscholastic sports, and the district partners with Student Assurance Services to give families the opportunity to purchase accident insurance for their student(s). When enrolled, this coverage provides financial assistance with your out-of-pocket medical expenses should your student sustain an accidental bodily injury.

This year, no paper forms for enrolling in the student insurance through Student Assurance are being provided, and all enrollment needs to be completed online and instructions are included in the letters below. Enrollment is OPTIONAL for families.
