Turnitin in Canvas: 2 Options
Academic Technology Services β’ Byte Size Read
π What is Turnitin?
π₯ Superpower your assessments with Turnitin, a plagiarism and detection software that checks your studentβs writing for citation mistakes or inappropriate copying. When students upload their papers for grading, Turnitin compares the text to its massive database of websites, books, articles, and other studentsβ papers across the campus and the globe. Upon completion, Turnitin generates a Similarity Report to help students and faculty identify possible instances of plagiarism.
Turnitin is a valuable tool to streamline the grading process and helps you design assessments with end-to-end integrity. It can be used to teach students about proper attribution, as well as to ensure academic integrity in your course submissions....AND... its seamless integration into New York Tech's learning management system (LMS) Canvas Assignment is right at your fingertips. You have two options to add it to your course. They are known as "External Tool" or within the Canvas "Framework". Also stay ahead of the curve and see how Turnitin AI is working on new enhancements to check for chatbot written assignments.
