Dear Gaiser Families,

Welcome to week 5 of remote learning. We appreciate all your support with making sure your student is attending Zoom sessions and completing work on Canvas.


Students need to have completed the i-Ready diagnostic in reading and math. If your child did not finish either diagnostic, they can login from 8 am until 8 pm and complete it on their own. The last day to complete these diagnostics are October 2nd.


Clark County Food Bank will be operating a fresh food pantry at Gaiser Middle School on Thursday October 15, 2020 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. All families are welcome to receive a box of fresh groceries. Please remember to wear masks and practice social distancing.


Parent Teacher Conferences will be held the week of October 14-16th. More information on signing up will be coming soon. October 14th and 15th will be a 2 hour early release day for student and a non school attendance day on October 16th.

i-Ready

Please help us make sure your child has finished the i-Ready Diagnostic in Math and Reading. We need these completed by Friday, October 2nd. Have your student reach out to their English and Math teacher if they need more support. If you have any login questions please email our i-Ready Coordinator Lynn.Maiorca@vansd.org

VPS Grab and Go Meals

*All children 18 years old or younger are eligible for free meals through at least December 2020. We still encourage families to apply for free or reduced-price meals. Families must reapply every year.


Grab-and-go meals will be offered Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the following locations:


Anderson Elementary, 2215 NE 104th St.
Fruit Valley Elementary, 3410 NW Fruit Valley Rd.
Ogden Elementary, 3200 NE 86th
Roosevelt Elementary, 2921 Falk Rd.
Washington Elementary, 2908 S. St.

Clark County Food Bank Fresh Food Boxes

We have partnered with the food bank to try to bring food support to schools that are not a lunch site and/or may have little access to other food pantries. We are doing these pantries once a week at different locations throughout the district in school parking lots.
