If you are a family with an incoming 6th, 7th, or 8th grader, this is for you. Next week, the students will be selecting electives for the 2019-2020 school year. I will be providing information for the students, with incoming 6th graders and incoming 8th graders selecting their electives on Wednesday and incoming 7th graders selecting their electives on Thursday. Look for an email from me next week.

Our final Spirit Week of the year, sponsored by Student Senate, will be May 28th through May 31st. Thanks to Mrs. Niemczyk and Mrs. Krajewski for your guidance and leadership with our Student Senate this year. We appreciate the great ideas and suggestions you help the kids bring to our school.

Hello Future Campers!

If you are looking for a fun way to explore theater with your friends this summer, this is the camp for you! Throughout the 2 weeks of Merton Theater Company Camp, students will experience all aspects of musical theater. Campers will learn songs, pick up choreography, exercise their acting skills, and participate in backstage activities such as prop creation. Any student that will be in 4th-8th grade for the 2019/20 school year is encouraged to register for theater camp!

In keeping with tradition, the 7th grade parents will host the 8th grade reception on Thursday, June 6th following the promotion ceremony. All 7th grade families are asked to bring two dozen cookies or bars for this event. The desserts must be dropped off at the Intermediate School office no later than 4:00PM on June 6th.

Merton School is excited to welcome an all-new Camp Invention® program, Supercharged, (July 29 – Aug. 2) where children transform their wild imaginations into epic creations. As part of Summer School the cost of the program is $40 for the week. Campers in grades K-6 will code robots and use collaboration and creative problem solving during hands-on, STEM activities. We are also looking for Counselors in Training (7th & 8th graders) to participate in our program. Register by calling Camp Invention directly at (800) 968-4332. This is a great week each summer!
