Mills Elementary School

As we have seen, the weather in Austin and in surrounding areas can be quite unpredictable during the Winter season! Our campus follows the following cold weather guidelines set by Austin ISD:

Please support us by ensuring that your Mountain Lion is appropriate dressed for the cold weather in January. We encourage coats/jackets and all extremities covered during cold weather days. Campus leadership carefully monitors weather conditions and temps to make informed decisions regarding recess and PE activities. Thank you for your support!

We are so proud of all students who participated in the Mills Science Fair! Last Thursday, students presented their Science Fair projects to guest judges in the Mills library. A number of students were recognized for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in their respective grade and science fair categories, with sixteen Mills Mountain Lions headed to the Regional Science Fair on February 24, 2024 at the Palmer Events Center!

We encourage all students to view the Regional Science Fair projects and cheer on Mountain Lions on Feb 24, 2024, from 2pm-4:30pm! More information can be found here: https://austinscience.org/elementary
