Plot
Ariel is a dreamy mermaid who believes that life out of water is the best thing that could happen in life.
A stormy day saves a prince who was sailing in a boat and falls in love with him, but when his father, the King Triton discovers the dreams of his daughter and his secret hideout in which saved all the little treasures that has been finding human , he destroys everything. Ariel decides to make a deal with Ursula, the worst witch of the ocean. Thanks to her, becomes human and is reunited with the prince , who is about to conquer , but she had to give her voice to her. His father decides to make a prisoner exchange and offers Ursula in exchange for the freedom of his daughter. Ariel , with the help of his friends Sebastian , Flounder and Prince Eric , manages to defeat the witch and destroy her. At the end, Triton doesn´t mind the love between Ariel and Eric , she decides to become a human for ever, and later the wedding between the two lovers was celebrated.
PRODUCTION
The Little Mermaid was originally planned as part of one of Walt Disney's earliest feature films, a proposed package film featuring vignettes of Hans Christian Andersen tales. Development started soon after Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in the late 1930s, but was delayed due to various circumstances.
