Shady Grove Elementary is focusing on creating closer, more connected and inclusive classrooms. Start with Hello Week is the kickoff to teaching students the skills they need to create a culture of inclusion & connectedness, while encouraging them to reach out to and include others. See below for all the fun activities planned for the week.

Report Cards for K-2nd grades will be posted by 4:00 on Thursday, October 1st. Open the link below for information on how to access your student's grade and attendance information.

November 4th will be our retake and remote learner picture day. Pictures will be taken in the Gym, with the entryway being under the awning on the right side of the building. We will have signs out to help guide you. We will also have six foot spacing marked out on the sidewalk for you to socially distance if you need to wait in line. There will be a staff member at the door to check your child's temperature and ask our screening questions, and there will only be one student allowed in at at time. We are asking all parents to wait outside since we are not allowing visitors in the building at this time. We do plan to have the entrance door open, so parents will be able to see into the gym while waiting on your student. All adults should wear masks, and all students and parents should be symptom free. Below are the time slots by grade level. If you have a student in more than one grade level, please plan to show up at one of their grade level time slots with both/all students and we will have them both taken at that time (so you don't have to come up twice).

9:30-10:00 - Pre-K & ECSE

10:-10:45 - Kindergarten

10:45-11:30 - First Grade

11:30-12:15 - Second Grade

Why are we creating a Shady Grove Parent Compact?

Under No Child Left Behind, each Title I school should jointly develop (with parents) a school-parent compact that outlines how parents, the entire school staff and students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement.

The plan will outline what we (as a school) will do to support our students, but we also want to include what you as parents will do.

Please take a few minutes to include the ways you will support your child in his/her education:
