A message from the administrative team
On Monday, October 10th, we will proctor the Practice ACT for all 11th-grade students who registered to take it. 11th-grade students should arrive at the normal time as the test will start at 7:40 a.m. in their assigned advisories. Additional information about the ACT can be found at www.ACT.org, along with information on acceptable calculators for use while taking the Practice ACT.
All 9th, 10th, and 12th-grade students will have a remote learning day. These students do not need to report to school that day. If they choose to come in, we will have a quiet study area to complete their remote learning assignments and have lunch. Teachers will share assignments for students on their Google Classroom page for them to complete independently. Buses will run at their normal times.

A total of 120 Blaine High School students named AP scholars
A total of 120 Blaine High School - Center for Engineering, Mathematics and Science (BHS) students were named Advanced Placement (AP) scholars based on scores on AP course exams taken during the 2021-22 school year. The number of AP scholars was the highest among district schools.
Anoka-Hennepin offers more than two dozen different AP courses to high school students which have been audited and approved by the College Board, a nonprofit organization of colleges, universities, secondary schools, and higher education institutions focused on college readiness programs. Students who complete an AP course can take an optional exam and earn college credit, depending on their score on the exam and admission requirements at the college or university they attend. An AP exam score of 3 or higher (on a scale of 1 to 5) earns credit at many of the nation’s colleges and universities.
There are three different levels of AP scholar recognition district students earned. These levels are defined by the scores received and the number of exams taken during a student’s high school career:
- AP Scholar with Distinction is given to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of the exams. A total of 65 students from across the district earned this recognition.
- AP Scholar with Honor recognizes students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of the exams. A total of 73 district students earned this status.
- AP Scholar is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams taken. A total of 148 district students earned this distinction.

Device Protection Plan
New: Families have the option to enroll in the Device Protection Plan.
Technology plays an important role in preparing students for life, and Chromebooks are utilized as a daily learning tool in Anoka-Hennepin middle and high school classrooms. Anoka-Hennepin students in grades 6-12 are assigned a Chromebook from the school district to ensure access to technology systems that support classroom learning.
Over 28,000 Chromebooks are distributed to students the first week of school. As careful as students and schools are, accidents do happen - and hundreds of Chromebooks are returned at the end of the school year with damages.
The Technology Protection Plan is optional; however, by electing not to participate in the Protection Plan, families may be required to reimburse the school district for the replacement or repair of damaged Chromebooks assigned to their student/s. Damaged or broken screens may cost between $100 to $190 depending on parts needed; or the replacement cost for the entire device could be up to $410.
Families can opt-in to the Device Protection Plan:
Log into A-HConnect.
Select “My Student Information,” and then select “Fees.”
Parents must select or decline coverage under the Device Protection Plan.
If you forget your login and password, call 763-506-HELP (4357) or email 506help@ahschools.us.
The plan cost is $20 per student or $60 per family per school year.
If the student qualifies for reduced priced meals, the cost of the Protection Plan will be reduced to $10 ($30 for families).
If the student qualifies for free school meals, the cost will be reduced to zero.
