Tis the Season...
It is hard to believe we are halfway through the school year. Nevertheless, here we are. So much has transpired since the new school year began. New relationships were formed. Teaching styles adjusted to meet learners' needs. Students grew not only physically, but also intellectually. New ideas generated from mistakes made. The list goes on and on.
As you prepare to spend time with family and friends this holiday season, please know that your Jag family wishes you peace, love, and so much joy. Thank you, parents, for your support of JCMS!
Happy Holidays!

IB Learner Profile
IB Learner Profile Trait of the Month: PRINCIPLED
Students who are PRINCIPLED have a sense of fairness and are honest with themselves and with others. They understand that sometimes there are rules, and they follow them. They have an understanding of moral reasoning.
How can parents help at home to develop students who are PRINCIPLED?
- Involve your students in deciding on the rules for a game or activity. Then ensure they stick to the rules that have been decided upon.
- Encourage your students to play games that involve teams. Discuss with your students the qualities of a team player. What sort of person would they want on their team?
- When your students win a game, insist that they are well-mannered winners. They might thank their opponents or shake hands with them if it’s appropriate.
- When playing a game, don’t change the rules or let your student win. Being a gracious loser is just as important as being a good winner.
